With timeless, clean designs, James Perse has always stood for high-quality, low maintenance high fashion. Perse's interest in fashion began at an early age, thanks to his father's boutique. There he learned everything that would later help him with his own designs. This includes not only fashion design, but also furniture design and architecture – his focus is particularly on clean lines and elegance. In fact, it was sports that first led him to try out his own designs, baseball caps to be more precise. They never fit the way he wanted, so he had to come up with his own design. Without a permanent store, he launched a T-shirt collection in 1994, which soon found loyal fans. He convinced with a perfect mix of luxury and casual. He kept this for further collections and the T-shirts were complemented by other basic pieces. His own store followed in 2003 and retains the inspiration from minimalist architecture. James Perse stands for approachable high fashion that goes with everything and thanks to minimalist designs his pieces are always recognizable and up to date.
